The chains from our past can be strong, but sometimes you just need to let go.
With two marriages behind her, and a grown son, Pauline Evans isn’t expecting to ever fall in love again. But when a smooth-talking newcomer sets his sights on her, she begins to wonder.
Allen Bishop has always known he and Pauline would be good together—if only things were different. He’s never told her how he feels, but now he knows if he doesn’t act soon he may never get another chance.
This is the third stand-alone novel in the Copperhead Creek series—set in the small town of Willows, where people’s lives overlap and tangle.
Author Biography
indie author S M Spencer grew up reading the romantic suspense works of incredible authors such as Daphne du Maurier and Mary Stewart. Their books stirred in her a passion that would last a lifetime—to write stories that would stay with readers long after they’d finished the books.
Although S M Spencer grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area she now lives in Australia and writes clean romance, mystery and fantasy books from the home that she shares with her husband, horses, cats and dogs—oh, and the mob of kangaroos that sometimes shares the paddock with the horses.

A very sincere romance set in Australia. After a bad marriage, our heroine escapes to a sedate life running a B and B with her new husband, who is much more like a friend. When her second husband dies, the protagonist embarks on the hard task of dating at an older age. I'm not a romance reader, but I was intrigued by this book because the protagonist meets two eligible men who peek her interest, and this kept me reading on to find out what was going to happen. I would recommend this author to romance readers. I thought it was a fairly clean read.Product details

A Chance to Let Go Copperhead Creek Australian Romance Book 3 edition by S M Spencer Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I've had the privilege of reading all the books in this series thus far and this one is by far the best. It's packed with romance and drama and even mystery-I sure hope there's another book coming because I'd love to find out more about these characters and their lives.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters were all so believable and the story had such a satisfying ending. I love how Pauline was able to save herself in the end but still got her fairy tale happy ending. Can't wait to read more by this author.
Lots of lose ends and characters that were hard to read. A strange side forrey into a murder mystery remains unsolved. I had trouble feeling like the book was hopeful or uplifting.
I read the first book in the series and enjoyed it so much I went ahead and bought the other 2 stories. The second story took place in the same town but it was different but similar to the first, almost so much so I was going to return the third. As I got into the story I began to enjoy it. I have the last book qued up and ready to read. The story was romantic but very clean. The only thing I didn't like was a little bit more originality in the second story.
Another enjoyable read from SM Spencer. Her Copper Creek series is beginning to hit its stride. A Chance to Let go tells of a woman making life choices to ensure a better life for herself and her son. The town of Willow has provided her with space and peace to raise her son, and now she is looking down a path of comfortable sameness, as he grows up and moves away. But Willow has more to offer than a peaceful refuge. There is hidden romantic interest and open lavish courting awaiting our heroine. Who knew! Ms Spencer deftly handles the progress of her heroine through life's puzzle of who to choose and even what choices are available. It is realistic and charming. The characters are true to life and the plot has twists to keep you interested. And, of course, there are horses!
Apparently life is very slow in rural Australia. This book was so boring I couldn't decide whether to continue or not. Nothing really goes anywhere. The smarmy suitor seems threatening but he never really does. The heartsick in-love-from-afar hero is tongue tied most of the time, like many of the author's male characters. The heroine acts like a never-been-kissed virgin although she's been married twice. It's hard to care about these people. When things finally pick up in the last 20% of the book very little is resolved. I'm surprised this author could find a publisher.
Pauline Evans feels adrift in her life as she adapts to her life as a widow and without her now grown son. She is the proprietor of the local B&B in the small Australian town of Willows. Tired of feeling invisible, she embarks on her journey of self-discovery with a makeover that leads to a boon in her self-confidence. Her newfound adventurous spirit gives her the courage to try new things and opens her heart to another chance for love. I thoroughly enjoyed A Chance to Let Go and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet, clean romance.
